The Romantic Enrique Iglesias

Soooo handsome ... soooo romantic ... enigmatic enrique iglesias is one of the top-selling Latin recording artists of the world.

Son of internationally-famous Spanish singer, Julio Iglesias, Enrique - like his father - was born in Madrid. Here he lived with his mother, brother Julio and sister Chabeli, until 1982 when his mother sent the children to live with their famous father in Miami. Consquently, Enrique has had the influence of Hispanic, European and American cultures.

He did, in fact, study business for a year at the University of Miami but, thankfully, his passion for music won through and he concentrated on song writing.

To start off with, Enrique Iglesias did not use his already-famous family name but that of Enrique Martinez. In 1996 came his first album - Enrique Iglesias - to be followed a year later by Vivir. In 1998 came Cosas del Amor and then Enrique - his first album in English. In 2001 arrived the follow-up - Escape - and then, Spanish and English albums alternated: Quizas in 2002 and Seven in 2003.
